On July 7, 2023, there was the reissue of the Colpo Rovente soundtrack by Piero Piccioni. The Syndicate: A Death in the Family (Italian: Colpo rovente, also known as Red Hot Shot) is a 1970 Italian crime film directed by Piero Zuffi and written by Ennio Flaiano and Zuffi. Helen Mirren stars in it, this is her 5th film. Piero Piccioni was a pianist, organist, conductor, composer, he was also the prolific author of more than 300 film soundtracks. He played for the first time on the radio in 1938 with his Big Band "013", returning to the air only after the liberation of Italy in 1944. "013" was the first Italian jazz group to be broadcast in Italy after the fall of fascism. His film scores include Il bell'Antonio, Contempt, The 10th Victim, More than a Miracle, The Deserter, The Light at the End of the World, The Puppet on a String, Lucky Luciano, Camille 2000, The Nun and the Devil , Swept Away, Christ Stopped at Eboli, Fighting Back and many Alberto Sordi films.

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart.
