Chill Rob G - Ride The Rhythm

On May 23, 1989, Chill Rob G released Ride The Rhythm. The a cappella version of his song "Let the Words Flow" was sampled illegally and without permission by German pop-dance group Snap! on their hit record "The Power". The song was a remix created by German producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti (under the pseudonyms Benito Benites and John "Virgo" Garrett III). After the song gained popularity in Europe and Arista / BMG records called out (via Ariola / BMG, the band's label in their home country), Münzing and Anzilotti recruited Durron Butler (aka Turbo B) to recording a new version of the song rather than continuing the lip-sync of the original Chill Rob G lyrics. It was this version that was ultimately used and promoted as the official version of Snap! Le 23 mai 1989, Chill Rob G sortait Ride The Rhythm.
