On September 8, 1994, At the MTV Video Music Awards, Beastie Boy Adam Yauch (MCA), in character as "Nathanial Hornblower," rushed the stage when R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" beats "Sabotage" for Best Direction. It's the first such intrusion at the VMAs. Hornblower is a character Yauch created - he claims it's his uncle. He's Swiss, speaks with a heavy accent, and wears lederhosen. When he takes to the podium before Michael Stipe can get there, he says: "I'm from Switzerland, and since I was a small boy, I had dreamed that Spike would win this. Now this has happened, and I want to tell everyone this is a farce, and I had the ideas for Star Wars and everything." "Spike" is Spike Jonze, who directed the video.  Security ushers him away, but there are no hard feelings. Four years later, the Beastie Boys got the Video Vanguard award. MCA / Burzootie - Drum Machine

On May 21, 2007, the Drum Machine 12’’ by MCA and Burzootie was reissued. The original is from 1985 with Def Jam and it was the 4th release of the legendary Rick Rubin label. Le 21 mai 2007, le 12’’ Drum Machine par MCA et Burzootie était réédité. L’originale est de 1985 avec Def Jam et c’était la 4e parution de la mythique étiquette de Rick Rubin.
