On February 1, 1994, Casual released Fear Itself, his debut album. Mike G is featured on the remix of the song I Didn’t Mean To. Del The Funky Homosapien produced the song That’s How It Is while Casual did the remix. The song Later On was featured on the soundtrack for A Low Down Dirty Shame and it was also the B side of Souls of Mischief's 12 inch Get The Girl, Grab The Money and Run. On December 19, 1973, it is the birthday of Casual, one of the founding members of the Hieroglyphics collective. Casual expressed, as did the rest of the Hieroglyphics team, the importance of competition in hip-hop, saying, “I think MCing should be a competitive activity, almost like a sport. The MC to continue to polish and refine his skills is to test them against the competition and emerging young wolves " Le 21 juin 2011, Casual sortait The Hierophant. Casual a exprimé, tout comme le reste de l'équipe des Hieroglyphics, l'importance de la compétition dans le hip-hop, déclarant : "Je pense que le MCing devrait être une activité compétitive, presque comme un sport. La seule façon pour un MC de continuer à polir et à affiner ses compétences est de les tester contre la concurrence et les jeunes loups émergents"
