On September 3, 2009, Harlem-based rapper Max B was sentenced to 75 years in prison for his role in a botched robbery that led to a double murder in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel. In July 2019, Max B had his sentence reduced from 20 years to 12 years. He is scheduled to be released sometime in 2021.
