On April 19, 1994, Shyheim came out with A.K.A. The Rugged Child, his 1st album. 14 of the 15 titles are produced by RNS and the other by RZA. RNS, from Staten Island, rose to prominence in 1991 when they produced Fruits Of Nature for The UMC's. It was also by lending its Ensoniq EPS sampler to RZA, who used it for Wu-Tang Clan's debut album that RNS left its mark in hip-hop. Le 19 avril 1994, Shyheim sortait A.K.A.
