Le 2 janvier 1989, c’est le début du Arsenio Hall Show. Parmi les invités, nous avons retrouvé avec plaisir 2Pac, N.W.A., Eazy-E, De La Soul, Big Daddy Kane, A Tribe Called Quest, 3rd Bass, Beastie Boys et B-Real, Black Sheep, Gang Starr, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Digital Underground, KRS-One et Ice-T. Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, Treach, Phife Dawg, Q-Tip, Fu-Schnickens, C.L. Smooth, Guru, Das EFX, Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-One et Mad Lion lui ont rendu hommage à sa dernière émission, le 27 mai 1994.  On January 2, 1989, the Arsenio Hall Show began. Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, Treach, Phife Dawg, Q-Tip, Fu-Schnickens, CL Smooth, Guru, Das EFX, Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-One and Mad Lion paid tribute to him on his last show, May 27, 1994.

On January 2, 2021, Agallah Don Bishop aka 8-Off or Brad Piff released 2021. It was out with his label Propain Campain. He was once part of Purple City. Le 2 janvier 2021, Agallah Don Bishop alias 8-Off ou Brad Piff sortait 2021. C’est paru avec son étiquette Propain Campain. Il a déjà fait partie de Purple City. 

On January 2, 2017, DJ Scratch posted on his Instagram, his resentment towards EPMD which he left in 2015. Surprisingly, it’s about a monetary question, who would have believed it. For the record, Diamond J was their first DJ, then DJ K La Boss took over on the first album. From the 2nd album to 2015, DJ Scratch was the group's DJ. Currently, Diamond J is back with EPMD as their DJ. Le 2 janvier 2017, DJ Scratch publie sur son Instagram, son ressentiment vis-à-vis EPMD qu’il a quitté en 2015. C’est surprenant une question monétaire, qui l’eut cru. Pour la petite histoire, Diamond J a été leur premier DJ, ensuite DJ K La Boss a pris la relève sur le premier album. Du 2e album à 2015, DJ Scratch a été le DJ du groupe. On January 2, 2014, the Baracuda & Modulok duo released Hydra. It was released with Fish Gang and the production of this mini-album is done by Mr. Stereo. Le 2 janvier 2014, le duo Baracuda & Modulok sortait Hydra. C’est paru avec Fish Gang et la réalisation de ce mini-album est faite par Mr Stereo. 

On January 2, 2000, unfortunately we learned about the death of trumpeter Nat Adderley. His 1968 track New Orleans has been sampled by House of Pain, The Herbaliser, Mr. Dibbs and Luke Vibert. Le 2 janvier 2000, malheureusement nous apprenions le décès du trompettiste Nat Adderley.
