From 1986 to 1988, the same station broadcast We Could Do This Show with Pete Nice, Daddy Rich and DJ Clark Kent. On January 10, 1999, it was Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito's last radio show on Hot 97. Their creative differences led to the end of the Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show. Stretch Armstrong was more drawn to New York gangsta rap and Bobbito to new things in abstract hip-hop.
