On December 26, 1999, unfortunately we learned about the passing of Curtis Mayfield. His talent as a guitarist, his singing style and his social conscience have inspired Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Tracy Chapman, Sly Stone, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. On December 8, 1992, Curtis Mayfield released the compilation The Anthology: 1961-1977. The song (Don't Worry) if There's a Hell Below, We're All Going to Go was released in 1970 on the Curtis album. It has been covered by Arabian Prince, N.W.A., EPMD, Mobb Deep, 2Pac, Artifacts, The Notorious B.I.G., D12, Erick Sermon, Kanye West, Nas, Travis Scott, Black Milk and Torae. Le 8 décembre 1992, Curtis Mayfield sortait la compilation The Anthology: 1961-1977. La chanson (Don't Worry) if There's a Hell Below, We're All Going to Go est parue en 1970 sur l’album Curtis. Elle a été reprise par Arabian Prince, N.W.A., EPMD, Mobb Deep, 2Pac, Artifacts, The Notorious B.I.G., D12, Erick Sermon, Kanye West, Nas, Travis Scott, Black Milk et Torae. 

On July 11, 1972, Curtis Mayfield released the soundtrack for the movie Super Fly. It’s one of the few soundtracks that gained more money than the movie it was associated with. Le 11 juillet 1972, Curtis Mayfield sortait la bande sonore du film Super Fly. C’est une des rares bandes sonores qui a remporté davantage d’argent que le film auquel elle était associée.
