This is Stetsasonic's last album for Prince Paul (The Undertaker) and Frukwan (The Gatekeeper) before they released the project Gravediggaz with RZA (The RZArector) and Poetic (The Grym Reaper). The album sold 50,000 copies in its first week to reach Billboard # 29. Eventually, Quik is the Name achieved platinum album status for one million copies sold.
