MC Solaar - Qui Sème le Vent Récolte le Tempo

On October 15, 1991, MC Solaar came out with Qui Sème le Vent Récolte le Tempo, his first album. For a long time, the first four albums released under Polydor were withdrawn from sale in 2000 permanently because the label released the MC Solaar album without the permission of the artist who wanted to put the disc with the falls of the sessions as second disc in the album Paradisiaque released a year earlier, and considered a violation of the contract binding to the artist according to a judgment against the record company. Therefore, these albums were not available for several years. The situation was corrected in early July 2021.

MC Solaar - Paradisiaque

On June 17, 1997, MC Solaar came out with Paradisiaque, his 3rd effort. The album has not been available for sale since the early 2000s following a judgment between the artist and his former record company Polydor. It is also unavailable on purchase and streaming platforms. This is due to the fact that the label released the MC Solaar album the following year Paradisiaque without the consent of the artist who wanted to see this disc with the falls of the sessions integrated as the second disc of the third album.

MC Solaar

Born March 5, 1969, it is MC Solaar's birthday. After the important success of his second album Prose combat, MC Solaar composed two albums which he gave to his record company Polydor, for publication in three months as a double album. Going against the artist's choices, the label released the two records separately: the first was released in June 1997 (Paradisiaque), and the second in July 1998 (MC Solaar). Solaar then initiates legal proceedings against Polydor. In 1997, the industrial tribunal recognized that the Polydor label did not respect the clauses of the contract which bound it to MC Solaar by not publishing all the recordings produced on time. The court decision, confirmed by the Paris Court of Appeal in 2002, then by the Court of Cassation in 2004, prohibits Polydor (which has become the property of the Universal Music group) from continuing to operate the artist's first four albums, of which it still owns the intellectual property. Since then, these four albums
