MC Shan devait participer à The Symphony mais étant qu’il se percevait comme ayant du succès, il a dit à Marley Marl qu’il se sentirait diminué de participer à ce disque avec ces nouveaux gars. Les MC en question sont Craig G, Masta Ace, Kool G Rap et Big Daddy Kane. Par contre, dès 1992 il participe à Informer de Snow. On September 20, 1988, Marley Marl released In Control Volume 1. MC Shan was scheduled to perform on The Symphony but being that he saw himself as successful, he told Marley Marl that he would feel less inclined to participate in this record with these new guys. The MCs in question are Craig G, Masta Ace, Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane. On the other hand, in 1992 he Shan participated in the song Informer by Snow.
