On July 23, 2002, RJD2 released Deadringer, his first album. Although the majority of this effort is instrumental, Blueprint is a guest on the song Final Frontier. On April 1, 2003, the CunninLynguists trio released SouthernUnderground, their 2nd album. Masta Ace is a guest on the song Seasons, which is produced by RJD2. Le 7 février 2006, le duo Aceyalone & RJD2 sortait Magnificient City. RJD2 a plus tard sorti une version instrumentale de l’album et la pièce A Beautiful Mine a été utilisée comme thème pour la série Mad Men.  On February 7, 2006, the Aceyalone & RJD2 duo released Magnificient City. RJD2 later released an instrumental version of the album and the track A Beautiful Mine was used as the theme for the Mad Men series.
