The original Juice Crew consisted of Mr. Magic, Sal Abbatiello, Sweet G, DJ June Bug and Kurtis Blow. In 1983, Marley Marl's girlfriend, Dimples D. released Sucker DJ’s. It was a response to Sucker M.C.’s of Run-DMC. In 1984, at just 15 years old, the incredible Roxanne Shante released Roxanne’s Revenge. It was a response to Roxanne, Roxanne from UTFO. This time UTFO responded, unlike Run-DMC, and on top of that it was the start of the Roxanne Wars. Biz Markie, MC Shan and Marley Marl did not participate in the book but so did Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante and Masta Ace.
