On September 11, 2001, Professor Griff released And the Word Became Flesh, his 5th album. Chuck D is a guest on the song Hypocrites. It was released with the record label The Right Stuff which mainly specializes in reissues. The Right Stuff has reissued albums from singer Al Green, Ann Peebles, Bobby Womack, Compton's Most Wanted, Dexter Wansel, Freddie King, Joe Tex, King Tee, Lakeside, Maze, Minnie Ripperton, Mystic Moods, The O'Jays, Otis Clay, Sun, Teddy Pendergrass, Hi Times - The Hi Records R&B Years and Deep Cover (Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). Professor Griff's first three albums are with Luke Records then distributed by Atlantic Records. His 4th album released with Blood of the Profit was with Lethal / Blackheart / Mercury / PolyGram Records. For this 5th, and last album to date, The Right Stuff was distributed in Canada by EMI and in the United States by BMG. On May 22, 1989, Professor Griff made anti-Semitic comments in the Washington Times. He had previously made discriminatory comments in The Melody Maker and the Washington Times reporter asked Griff about it. He protested instead of immediately apologizing. On May 9, 1989, in an interview with The Washington Times, Public Enemy's "Minister of Information," Professor Griff, blames Jews for "the majority of wickedness that goes on across the globe."
