1 - Fat Larry’s Band - Down On the Avenue (1976)
Philadelphia band active from 1976 to 1987, it was the death of drummer / vocalist Larry James that put an end to their activities after 8 albums. Feel It is their first album with WMOT Records. Keyboardist Erskine Williams took part in Rick James' Stone City Band while trombonist Melvin El was in Mutiny.

Released with SMI, a label founded in New York by Will Crittendon (with the Afro-Jazz Ensemble in 1968 and later in 1983 he would become Captain Cee) in 1975 and active until 1983. The full name of the label is Satellite Music International Ltd.

3 - Harvey Mandel - Baby Batter (1971)
American guitarist who was part of Canned Heat. When Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor left the band, Mandel auditioned to replace him. He recorded two tracks with the Stones for their 1976 album Black and Blue: "Hot Stuff" (providing the lead guitar solo throughout) and "Memory Motel".

It is rooted in the classic sound of Roger Troutman and Zapp but with his own sharp, contemporary edge.

6 - Diane Jenkins - I'm a Woman The Complete Singles
This compilation includes all of her solo out put. She started out as a vocalist for Creative Funk, she made her mark as an exceptionally soulful performer. Although the band were quite successful for a short while in their hometown of New York City, they never had the backing of a major label to expose them to a wider audience.

The band's long time collaborator Charles Stepney died in the midst of its recording sessions in 1976; Maurice White went on to mostly arrange and produce the album. The LP was entitled Spirit in dedication to The Dells, Ramsey Lewis, Rotary Connection producer.
