John B. Shaffer III is best known for his hit single "Knockin' Boots". Candell Manson appears in the front row on N.W.A. and the Posse's 1987 album cover. His friend, rapper / producer Sir Jinx, introduced him to Dr. Dre, for whom he produced a three-song demo.

He set up the vinyl-only label Fondle 'Em Records in 1995 as an outlet for underground artists such as MF Doom, MF Grimm, Kool Keith and Cage. He is known as a former co-host of hip hop radio show The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show, alongside Adrian Bartos, from 1990 until 1999.
Il a fondé l'étiquette vinyle Fondle 'Em Records en 95 afin de promouvoir des artistes underground tels que MF Doom, MF Grimm, Kool Keith et Cage. Il est également connu pour avoir co-animé l'émission de radio hip-hop The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show avec Adrian Bartos, de 1990 à 1999.
