Ils se sont d'abord produits sous le nom de Mental Subjects, avant de changer pour A Rhythmic Culture et finalement de se fixer sur Urban Atmosphere.

Ce soir, à 19h (heure locale), le groupe funk jouera au Future Yard CIC, Birkenhead au Royaume-Uni. Ils célèbrent le 50e anniversaire de l'album Herbie Hancock de 1973 qui leur a donné leur nom. Ils ont également eu des succès avec God Make Me Funky et I Remember I Made You Cry.
