1 - Prince - United States Of Division
La chanson est sortie le 4 juillet 2004, jour de l'Indépendance aux États-Unis, en tant que face B virtuelle de Cinnamon Girl. Quatre mois plus tard, il figurait sur le DC simple européen de Cinnamon Girl, mais n'était pas inclus dans l'édition américaine du simple, pour des raisons inconnues. Les dates d'enregistrement spécifiques sont inconnues, mais le morceau a été enregistré en janvier 2004, probablement aux studios Paisley Park à Chanhassen, Minnesota. Le 5 avril 2024, un mix légèrement différent de la chanson avec des cuivres plus proéminents a été publié en tant que piste numérique autonome par la succession de Prince (à l'occasion du 20e anniversaire de l'album Musicology).
The song was released on 4 July 2004, Independence Day in the USA, as a virtual b-side to Cinnamon Girl. Four months later, it was included on the European CD single of Cinnamon Girl, but was not included on the US edition of the single, for unknown reasons. Specific recording dates are unknown, but the track was recorded in January 2004, likely at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. On 5 April 2024, a slightly different mix of the song with more prominent horns was released as a stand alone digital track by Prince’s estate (in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Musicology album).
