Bassist Mark Tulin is the only one in the group who knew how to read music, he and singer James Lowe are the only ones to be found on all the songs on this 3rd album composed by David Axelrod. Savoureuse anecdote à cet effet, pour la seule saison de l'Express de Montréal en 2001-2002, j'étais DJ durant les matchs au Centre Molson. Un monsieur relativement illuminé, qui devait partir une franchise d'équipe de crosse dans la Ville de Québec, voulait que les joueurs entrent sur Woke Up This Morning. Je rappelle que les paroles vont ainsi : You woke up this morning Got yourself a gun, le rhythme lent a aussi contribuer à tous le monde qui se regarde en disant : WTF??? Le match suivant, les joueurs ont demandé à entrer dorénavant sur For Whom The Bells Tolls de Metallica.

Aloe Blacc a interprété l'album dans son intégralité au Festival Jazz de Montreux en 2018.
