Blowfly

On January 17, 2016, unfortunately we learned about Blowfly's passing. Between 1969 and 1976, he released 3 albums under his name of Clarence Reid, then between 1971 and 2016 it was about twenty 33 rpm under the pseudonym Blowfly.

Le 17 janvier 2016, malheureusement nous apprenions le décès de Blowfly. Entre 1969 et 1976, il a sorti 3 albums sous son nom de Clarence Reid puis entre 1971 et 2016 c’est une vingtaine de 33 tours sous le pseudonyme de Blowfly.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
