Billy Brooks

On December 24, 2002, unfortunately we learned about the passing of Billy Brooks. From his 1974 album, Windows of the Mind, Fourty Days can be found on the first volume of the Dusty Fingers series which was published between 1997 and 2006. Also in this collection we find: Souls Sides by trumpeter Art Farmer, Take me with you by Lyn Christopher, Le Bracelet from the soundtrack of the movie La Planète Sauvage by Alain Goraguer and Solstice by Brian Bennett. Fourty Days has been used by A Tribe Called Quest, The Goats, Greyboy, Keith Murray, Styles P and Mobb Deep.

Le 24 décembre 2002, malheureusement nous apprenions le décès de Billy Brooks. De son album de 1974, Windows of the Mind, Fourty Days se retrouve sur le premier volume de la série Dusty Fingers qui est parue entre 1997 et 2006. Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
