Dr. Dre - 2001

On November 16, 1999, Dr. Dre released 2001, his 2nd album. The title was supposed to be Chronic 2000, but Suge Knight from Death Row Records had the rights and this name was given to a compilation released in May 1999.

Le 16 novembre 1999, Dr. Dre sortait 2001, son 2e album. Le titre devait être Chronic 2000, mais Suge Knight de Death Row Records avait les droits et ce nom a été donné à une compilation parue en mai 1999.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
