Hammer - Too Legit To Quit

On October 29, 1991, Hammer released Too Legit To Quit, his 4th album. Hammer appeared on the Wendy Williams Show on July 27, 2009 and told a story about a phone call he received from Michael Jackson, regarding the part of the 2 Legit 2 Quit video that included a fake Jackson, giving his approval and inclusion of it. He explained how Jackson viewed and liked the video, and both expressed that they were fans of each other. Hammer and Jackson would later appear, speak, and perform at James Brown's funeral service in 2006.

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience.
