Steady B

Born September 17, 1969, it is the birthday of Steady B. Warren Sabir McGlone is currently serving a life sentence in a Pennsylvania State Prison for his role in the murder of the Philadelphia Police Officer Lauretha Vaird, in a failed bank robbery in January 1996.

Né le 17 septembre 1969, c’est l’anniversaire de Steady B. Warren Sabir McGlone purge actuellement une peine d'emprisonnement à perpétuité dans une prison d'État de Pennsylvanie pour son rôle dans le meurtre de l'officier de police de Philadelphie Lauretha Vaird, lors d'un braquage de banque raté en janvier 1996.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
