Mountain Brothers - Keep On

On September 25, 2013, the Philadelphia Mountain Brothers group released the video for the song Keep On. They only released two albums, one in 1999 and the other in 2003. They made their mark on underground hip-hop using little sampling and being one of the first Asian-American groups in hip-hop.

Le 25 septembre 2013, le groupe de Philadelphie Mountain Brothers a sorti le vidéoclip pour la chanson Keep On. Ils ont seulement sorti deux albums, un en 1999 et l’autre en 2003. Ils ont marqué le hip-hop underground en utilisant peu d'échantillonnages et en étant un des premiers groupes asiatique-américain dans le hip-hop.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
