Bobby Byrd

On September 12, 2007, unfortunately we learned about the death of Bobby Byrd. In his early days, he founded The Famous Flames and it was he who discovered none other than James Brown. After the soundtrack of Black Caesar, like several others, Bobby Byrd ended his association with James Brown. They collaborated together for 21 years. From 1971, his song I Know You Got Soul was sampled by Eric B. & Rakim, Public Enemy, Dream Warriors, Suprême NTM, Ice-T, MC Ren, The Pharcyde, Juggaknots, Ugly Duckling and Exile.

Le 12 septembre 2007, malheureusement on apprenait le décès de Bobby Byrd. À ses débuts, il a fondé The Famous Flames et c’est lui qui a découvert nul autre que James Brown. Après la bande sonore de Black Caesar, comme plusieurs autres, Bobby Byrd a mis fin à son association avec James Brown. Ils ont collaboré ensemble pendant 21 ans. Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
