Le 30 janvier 2009, Kendrick Lamar sortait le mixtape C4. Il était alors connu comme K-Dot, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q sont les invités sur la chanson Welcome to the C4. 

On January 30, 2009, Kendrick Lamar released the C4 mixtape. He was then known as K-Dot, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q are the guests on the song Welcome to the C4.
