Aretha Franklin

Le 3 janvier 1987, Aretha Franklin devient la première femme à entrer au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sa chanson Rock Steady a été reprise par EPMD, Public Enemy, Nikki D, A Tribe Called Quest et OutKast. Young, gifted and black a été utilisée par Gang Starr, Heavy D & The Boyz et Rapsody.
