À la mi-1977, il a publié certains des enregistrements qu’il avait réalisés entre 1971 et 1972, mais n’avait pas encore publié en album auparavant. In mid-1977, he released some of the recordings he had made between 1971 and 1972, but had not yet released on an album before. On this LP, entitled From My Notebook, there were experimental works by Kızılok: he set Nâzım Hikmet's poem to an atonal background and tried to "not sing, but be a musician," according to his own words.

It is Spanish for "the race" or more symbolically "the people" as metonymy; it samples El Chicano's "Viva Tirado" from 1970 (a cover of the famous Gerald Wilson jazz composition).
