« Tout s'est fait naturellement, comme une évidence », explique-t-elle. « J'ai croisé DJ Premier au Japon. Je ne savais pas qu'il était là-bas, alors j'étais sous le choc : l'un de mes DJ et réalisateurs préférés de tous les temps était simplement dans une boutique de fans en train d'acheter un éventail ! » Elle a finalement passé du temps à New York, dans son studio, pour enregistrer. « C'est comme ça que tout a commencé », ajoute-t-elle.
“It’s all been spirit-driven and organic,” she says. “I bumped into DJ Premier in Japan. I didn’t know he was there, so I was shocked as one of my favorite DJs and producers of all time is just in the fan store getting some air.” She ended up spending some time in New York at his studio to record. “That’s really how all of this occurred,” she adds.
