Après avoir été le meneur du groupe local Les Léopards, il enregistra à la fin des années 1970 un petit nombre de titres percutants qui mettaient en valeur sa voix brute et expressive ainsi que son goût pour les arrangements rythmés.
He was a French-Caribbean singer, organist and songwriter from Martinique, known for blending local Caribbean rhythms with funk, soul and reggae inflections. After fronting the local group Les Léopards, he recorded a small but potent set of tracks in the late 1970s that showcased his raw, emotive voice and taste for groove-driven arrangements.

Le film a été écrit, réalisé et réalisé par Sal Watts, entrepreneur d'Oakland (Californie), qui y tient également le rôle principal. Jimmy Lewis, figure emblématique de la soul sudiste et collaborateur de Ray Charles, a composé et dirigé la musique, tandis que des auteurs comme Joyce Stiger, auteure du tube de Bobby Bland « Recess in Heaven », ont contribué à l'écriture des chansons. Il est disponible en vinyle tigré avec trois titres bonus et en DC avec trois titres supplémentaires.
The film was written, directed, and produced by Oakland, CA entrepreneur Sal Watts, who also starred in the movie. Southern soul stalwart and Ray Charles collaborator Jimmy Lewis arranged and conducted the score, while writers like Joyce Stiger, who penned Bobby Bland’s hit “Recess in Heaven,” contributed songs. It’s issued on tiger swirl vinyl with three bonus cuts and a CD edition adding three more.

Plus de 30 ans après sa sortie, ce pressage unique se vend régulièrement à plus de 80$ sur le marché de l'usagé.
The Bloods and Crips’ debut Bangin’ on Wax (1993) was reissued in 2023. The follow-up originally dropped only on CD in 1994. Now, it is pressed on special edition half / half blue and red vinyl. Over 30 years later, the lone pressing regularly fetches 80$ + on the secondary market.
