They cut their first album at a makeshift studio in a Brooklyn brownstone owned by Fresh Gordon of the Choice MC’s. Hurby Azor wrote and produced most of the songs, but it was Gordon who came up with an infectious synth part that became the basis for their breakthrough song, “Push It.”
