Un diminutif pour Young Blood, le danois a sorti son seul album ayant pour titre I Am What I Am en 1992. Il a tenté un retour dans les années 2000 avec DJ Shodai sous le nom de duo Obi mais sans grand succès.

Il a commencé sa carrière de musicien à l'adolescence en parcourant son pays et le Canada en jouant le rôle de ténor principal avec Aalon Butler et le New Breed Band dans sa ville natale de Milwaukee, WI. Le groupe a changé son nom pour A Different Bag mais a ensuite été découvert par Little Richard en 1971 après un enregistrement avec Stax Records sous les Mar-Keys ("Memphis Experience" - 1971).
