De plus, Atlantic Records a essayé de promouvoir l'album Jamaican Ska en faisant appel au réalisateur maison et ingénieur du son Tom Dowd, qui a fait tous les plus grands simples d'Aretha Franklin, pour travailler avec eux.
The band targeted the international rocksteady market with albums of mainly cover versions such as Rock Steady Beat and Rock Steady '67. Further, Atlantic Records tried to push the album Jamaican Ska by using house producer and sound engineer Tom Dowd, who did all of Aretha Franklin's greatest singles, to work with them.
