Un seul album en 1979 pour cette chanteuse de Newark et cette chanson n'en fait pas partie. La version club de Heartbeat est mixé par le légendaire Larry Levan du Paradise Garage. Au départ, lorsqu'il jouait la chanson dans ses sets de DJ, comme on dit elle clairait le dancefloor (le rythme est plus lent que d'autres chansons de l'époque). Le brillant Lawrence Philpot a persévéré avec sa crowd et il en a fait un classique.

My favorite Nas album is by far Illmatic but It Was Written, for me, is good from start to finish except for If I Ruled the World (Imagine That) which covers Kurtis Blow and Whodini, the Trackmasters covered Linda Clifford for Street Dreams which is the same sampling that Johnny J had used for All Eyez On Me by 2Pac and again the Trackmasters who send a soft ball on The Message by covering The Shape of My Heart by Sting.

La formation continue toujours malgré les tragédies, le chanteur Scott Weiland est décédé en 2015 (il n'était plus dans le groupe depuis 2013) et Chester Bennington qui a remplacé Weiland de 2013 à 2015 est décédé en 2017.
