On January 13, 2023, it was the reissue of the Something album by Steve Marcus / Jiro Inagaki & Soul Media with Beatball / Cobrarose Records / Light In The Attic. Initially, the record was out in 1971 with Columbia in Japan. Inagaki formed the jazz-rock group "Jiro Inagaki & Soul Media" in 1969, which was active throughout the 1970s and included Shunzo Ohno, Tetsuo Fushimi, Ryo Kawasaki (guitar), Masahiko Satoh (piano, keyboards, bass, arranger) and Takeshi Inomata (drums) in his various formations. Steve Marcus was born in the Bronx and he gained experience playing in the bands of Stan Kenton, Herbie Mann and Larry Coryell from 1963 to 1973. His first album as a frontman included an arrangement of the Beatles song, "Tomorrow Never Knows". He worked with jazz drummer Buddy Rich for the last twelve years of Rich's life. His piece "Half a Heart" (1968) has a riff very similar to the famous saxophone riff of Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" (recorded 1977, released 1978).
