On December 4, 2020, the group UTFO saw its eponymous album reissued. Released in 1985, and as early as 1984 UTFO had the Roxanne 12’’, Roxanne had Hanging Out as the A side. Tyrone Williams (Fly Ty, founder of Cold Chillin' in 1986), Mr. Magic and Marley Marl had a cancellation from UTFO and it was Roxanne Shanté who replied. Roxanne’s Revenge has sold just 250,000 copies in the New York area. According to different sources, between 30 and 100 songs were recorded during the Roxanne war. Ralph Rolle released Roxanne's a Man (The Untold Story — Final Chapter) which claimed that Roxanne was in fact a man who had been raped in prison, then having "lost his manhood", turned into a woman after his release; and insulted UTFO for not realizing it.
