MC Duke - Return of the Dread

On September 30, 1991, MC Duke released Return of the Dread. Duke started his career at a post-show night of the DMC World Championships, where the winner of the MC's fight competition took the stage and boasted that he could beat any rapper who would challenge him. Duke stepped onto the stage for the challenge and emerged victorious. The battle was assisted by Derek B, who acted as A&R for the Music of Life records. He quickly arranges a meeting between Duke and Simon Harris, the boss of the record company, where instead of bringing a demo, Duke rapped live in Harris' office and Harris agreed to sign him.

Le 30 septembre 1991, MC Duke sortait Return of the Dread. Duke a commencé sa carrière lors d'une soirée d'après-spectacle des championnats du monde DMC, où le vainqueur de la compétition de combat des MC est monté sur scène et s'est vanté de pouvoir battre tout rappeur qui le mettrait au défi. Chappelle’s Show

Le 22 janvier 2003, c’était le début du Chappelle’s Show. Deux saisons complètes ont vu le jour à Comedy Central et une 3e saison de 3 épisodes inédits a été diffusée après la débâcle de Chappelle. On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart.
