Fat Beats

On September 4, 2010, after having seen its sales decline in 2008, in part because of the Serato, it was the closure of the Fat Beats store in New York. Brown Bag Allstars performed in store for the past week with Pete Rock and DJ Premier.

Le 4 septembre 2010, après avoir vu ses ventes baisser dès 2008, en partie à cause des Serato, c’était la fermeture du magasin Fat Beats de New York. Brown Bag Allstars ont offert une performance en magasin durant la dernière semaine en compagnie de Pete Rock et DJ Premier.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
