Sexion D'Assaut

Born on May 6, 1986, active since 2002 and a Zaire native, it is Gims’s birthday. Before his solo career, he was part of Sexion D'Assaut. In June 2010, during an official interview in the magazine International Hip-Hop, Lefa (a member of the group) said: “For a while, we attacked homosexuals a lot because we are one hundred percent homophobic and that 'we assume it’’. Great idiot talk.


Né le 6 mai 1986, c’est l’anniversaire de Gims. Avant sa carrière solo, il faisait partie de Sexion D'Assaut. En juin 2010, lors d'un entretien officiel dans le magazine International Hip-Hop, Lefa (un membre du groupe) indique : « Pendant un temps, on a beaucoup attaqué les homosexuels parce qu'on est homophobes à cent pour cent et qu'on l'assume ». Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
