Large Professor

Born March 21, 1973, it is Large Professor's birthday. You have to listen to The LP, his first album made in 1996 but officially released in 2009. Large Professor became in 1993 one of the first producers, after Mark The 45 King, to work with Gang Starr. He brilliantly remixed the song Gotta Get Over.

Né le 21 mars 1973, c’est l’anniversaire de Large Professor. Il faut que vous tendiez une oreille sur The LP, son 1er album fait en 1996 mais sorti officiellement en 2009. Large Professor est devenu en 1993 un des premiers réalisateurs, après Mark The 45 King à leurs débuts, à travailler avec Gang Starr. Il a remixé avec brio la chanson Gotta Get Over.

Soft Machine

On August 26, 2023, Big Daddy Kane headlined a Hip Hop 50 event at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. During the show, Kamanchi Sly from British group Hijack came on stage wearing a mask and simply stood in front of the cheering audience. Kane tolerated the interruption for a few minutes but ended up stopping the music to confront the agitator. Hijack was scheduled to perform after Big Daddy Kane. This was considered disrespectful by Hijack, which is why Sly invaded the stage. Ice-T signed  Hijack to his own Rhyme Syndicate label, they recorded and released the single "The Badman is Robbin'" (Rhyme Syndicate, 1989). The track reached number 56 on the UK Singles Chart. Hijack's debut album, The Horns of Jericho (Rhyme Syndicate, 1991), was recorded around the same time.
