Dire que DJ Quik a fait des miracles avec un budget de 30 000$ pour la réalisation de son premier effort, est un euphémisme. L’album s’est vendu à 50 000 copies à sa première semaine pour atteindre le # 29 du Billboard. Éventuellement, Quik is the name a obtenu le statut d’album platine pour un million de copies vendues.

Chappelle’s Show
