Also, his label Jam Master Jay Records was the first to sign Onyx and 50 Cent (the 12 '' The Glow in 1997). R.I.P. Jam Master Jay. Le 30 octobre 2002, malheureusement on apprenait le décès de Jam Master Jay. Bien connu pour avoir été le DJ (et multi-instrumentiste, il jouait du clavier, de la basse et de la batterie sur  Raising Hell) de Run-DMC.
