Barbed Wire Sandwich est un album studio de heavy blues rock du groupe britannique londonien La sortie a eu lieu le 13 février 1970 avec Decca et sa division Nova. Il s'agit de leur unique disque. Le groupe comptait alors parmi ses membres les musiciens Paul Kossoff et Simon Kirke, qui participeront plus tard à la formation de Free en 1968 avec Paul Rodgers et Andy Fraser. Kirke et Rodgers contribueront ensuite à la fondation du supergroupe de rock britannique Bad Company en 1974, qui connaîtra un plus grand succès. As a child, Douglas Pearce was exorcised by his parents for alleged demonic possession, and after his father died, his mother and he would "muck around with a Ouija board". He believes in the paranormal and occult, and claims to have had contact with various entities saying "I believe in gods, demons, angels whether they're from the inner psyche, another dimension or whatever. I've heard them and I've seen them. I've even felt them touch me".

4 - Eugene McDaniels - Freedom Death Dance (1971)
Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse décuple la colère et la discorde politique. L'album était considéré comme si radical à l'époque qu'il a attiré l'attention du vice-président de l'époque, Spiro Agnew (un genre de veep blanc sans barbe à la JD Vance), qui est même allé jusqu'à à faire apporter une transcription complète dans le bureau ovale. Peu de temps après, Agnew a appelé Ahmet Ertegun, alors directeur d'Atlantic, et a fait pression sur lui pour qu'il retire l'album. Ertegun s'est conformé, l'album est devenu pratiquement inaccessible et la carrière solo de McDaniels ne s'en est jamais rétablie.
Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse ups the anger and political discord tenfold. The album was considered so radical at the time that it caught the attention of then vice president Spiro Agnew (a somewhat beardless JD Vance type of white veep), who even went so far as to have a full transcript brought into the oval office. Not long after that, Agnew called then head of Atlantic, Ahmet Ertegun, and pressured him into withdrawing the album. Ertegun complied, the album became virtually unattainable and McDaniels’s solo career never recovered.

5 - Fever Tree - Death Is the Dance (1968)

Il s'agit d'un film d'action américain de 1974, réalisé par Michael Winner, avec Charles Bronson et Jeff Goldblum, alors âgé de 21 ans, pour son premier rôle. C'est librement inspiré du roman éponyme de Brian Garfield, paru en 1972. Le producteur Dino De Laurentiis souhaitait initialement confier la musique du film à un groupe anglais bon marché, mais Sonia Manzano, la compagne de Winner à l'époque, lui fit écouter Head Hunters, ce qui incita le réalisateur à proposer le projet à Hancock.
